As global warming caused by CO2 pollution gets closer and closer to the potential risk of an irreversible catastrophe, concern and alarm among the general public has actually been declining!  That means that our legislators are not motivated to make the necessary moves to prevent it. The goal of the Climate Action Team is to help increase awareness and concern among voters and then point them towards effective action steps

Did you know that showing people pictures of polar bears on melting ice floes is actually counterproductive when it comes to getting people concerned about climate change?  Recent research suggests that it's bad communications messaging -- it makes people believe that global warming is a distant problem, not one that will affect themselves and their families
